You feel it — when something is off…

When your dog is anxious, unsettled, or overstimulated… it doesn’t just affect them.

It shows up in your body too.

  • The tension when they can’t settle

  • The stress when you leave and they don’t understand why

  • That quiet pull of knowing they’re waiting

And then there’s the other side of it—the moments when you’re apart, and you feel it in your body.

When the room is too quiet. When you miss them more than you expected.

Because their nervous system—and yours—are more connected than we think.

This isn't just emotional — it's physiological. Your nervous systems are constantly responding to each other. Known as co-regulation, this is the process by which mammals regulate their own nervous systems through safe connection with another.

Which means when one settles… the other can too.

Sound isn’t just something we hear — it’s something we feel.

In both humans and dogs, rhythm and frequency play a direct role in regulating the nervous system. Slow, steady patterns signal safety — helping the body shift into a calmer state.

From the beginning, just like humans, dogs are wired to the rhythm of a heartbeat. In early life, that steady sound signals safety, closeness, and calm — and that imprint stays in the body. Research into neonatal mammals shows that rhythmic stimuli like heartbeats reduce cortisol — the stress hormone — and increase oxytocin, the bonding hormone. That imprint doesn't disappear with age.

And just as it grounds them — that same rhythm grounds you. Because it's the sound most associated with them being near. The one your body already knows.

That's the idea behind Furbeats — your dog's love on loop.

That’s the feeling you come back to

Furbeats turns your dog’s heartbeat into a sound you can return to—anytime you need to reconnect.

A grounding rhythm you can press play on—whenever you need to feel closer, calmer, or more settled.

To them. To yourself. To the bond you share.

Reach for it when you’re:

  • Falling asleep

  • Traveling—with or without them

  • Moving through stress or overwhelm

  • Slowing down together

  • Helping them settle

  • Wanting something of theirs to keep

Why we Created Furbeats

I’ve spent years working in the wellness space—and caring for dogs of all kinds, including rescue pups with different temperaments and needs.

Over time, I noticed something simple:

Dogs settle into rhythm.
They’re soothed by tone.
Their environment shapes how they feel.

And so do we.

I began experimenting—using sound to help dogs settle and create calm, while deepening my own sound-based practices.

Then a question: What if the most powerful sound wasn’t something external…but something already theirs?

Their heartbeat.

A way to take something deeply familiar—and turn it into a rhythm you can come back to. Together or apart.

The heartbeat was already there. We just found a way to let you carry it.
